What can I say? I like writing about stuff. =D

FlawlessFlawless by Lara Chapman

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ok, here we go.
You know, you wouldn't think that Sarah, the main character... Scartch that. I like to treat someone as the person he/she is, regardless if they exist only on the author's imagination. Imagination is a world on itself.
Sara, beautiful Sara Burke, like every other teenager, american teenager, likes first days just because of what they mean. A new day to reinvent yourself, new chances. But, and there is a big but, like in everything that looks great but not quite right. Her nose its's, well, big. Told you, there was a big but. I don't think she would care that much but with a mother like that who wouldn't give it a second thought? Gladly, her best friend, Kristen, supports and encourages her self-confidence.
Quoting, "An Adonis has arrived and I'm here to worship him." Like Sarah said, Rockford Conway arrived to absolutely shake her world. Perfect Rock. Uneven teeth Rock. Beautiful Rock. But I'm not sure if putting them in that same category as "beautiful with a minor defect" helps the story. It just looks childish, to put it in a way, to me, at least.
The connection you can almost feel between Sarah and Rock is unnerving, one moment you're thinking "Yes! It doesn't matter that she has an unusual nose. He likes her!" and the next "Of course. the perfect-looking friend is the one he likes Likes." Ugh. C'est la vie.
But here comes what sets off the story for us. Sarah likes Rock more by the second, he is absolutely perfect for her, both being literature experts. But does Kristen too. And the thing is, she is not a lit fan, at all. So Kristen needs and successfully reclutes Sarah's help to conquer Rock's heart. A dilemma? For sure, but between Kristen and any guy, including Rock, there isn't really a choice to make.
The thing is, although Sarah is against fooling Rock, is Kristen she is talking about. No matter how uncomfortable it'll be. How painful it'll get. Best friends are for life, aren't they? And this whole "Rock&Kristen"scenario only builds up to her already crumbling self-confidence that makes her doubt whether or not to take her mom's advice and take care of business. you know, with a knife. The surgical kind.
Well, Sarah helps Kristen in every way she doesn't want. Sending e-mails, helping on "not-dates", actual dates and the following letters and facebook messages. You smell disaster? Me too.

If you think about it, Sarah has the best intentions, but who wouldn't feel divided in half? Help Kristen. Fall for Rock. It's not the first time you or I have read the same situation, and more than once. Deception always leads to unhappy endings. Deceiving is not the answer. But if Kristen had heard Sarah from the beginning we wouldn't have a story to read. And this is your typical kind of book, beat friends morfs to every extreme just for a guy, and why? Because they don't trust their own selves, so they become someone else. And when you figure out Kristen is just like that, you'll feel sorry for her. Or maybe not, maybe I'm just playing with you? Or not.

No torturing, I'll help you figure that one. All likeness with anything you've read so far ends there. It seems that maybe Rock does seem enchanted by Kristen's charms, even the made up ones. And you, as me, as Sarah, will fall into a doubting point of no return.
I like very much Sarah's dilemma of doing or not a plastic surgery that wll erase all her problems once and for all. Being the daughter of a plastic surgeon gives me an indside view that most don't have access to. Is funny when in one scene, she's researching one of the million brochures her mom plasters her life in oddly ways, but comes upon a video of the procedure and totally frightens. Flaws will always become insecurities. Plastic surgery is just another way of solving that. If I could talk to Sarah I would tell her to do it, ONLY of she feels comfortable with everything that that involves and most of all if she won't regret doing it afterwards. Feel free to take that advice for yourself or a friend. No copyrighting it. =)

The one thing that was potentially annoying, notice the "potential" before the adjetive, is how Sarah portraits Rock like he is the Pope or a super heroe. She barely knows the second thing about the guy, no matter how much she likes him. And why can't she say NO to Kristen for once, it just makes her digging her own hole an easier task.

Sarah is agood student, a good daughter, a good friend, but has build this wall so thick she just missed on so much.
Surprises here and there and she starts knowing herself and her surrounding a great deal more. And finds an answer to all her problems, no matter how difficult it may seem.

I'm not spoiling it for you, I've already talked about it a little too much. Is your turn to ride this well written, inspiring story.
Regardless of what you think or what I said and you have read, you'll be signing up for one of the most unexpected of outcomes ever.

Unrealistically Good...

His EyesHis Eyes by Renee Carter

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What can I say? Although it was extremely short...and fast-paced. I loved it! I have to admit that the first half of the book is kind of dull and like everything you expect from a book like this. But you just wait. It gets to your heart with devastating surprise.

I liked that, although, Tristan loved riding it was kept in the shadows a bit. That even though, at first, you think you know Amy..you end up noticing that you dont. She is perfect for Tristan, as Tristan becomes perfect for Amy. Today, before I finished it I thought of this words. "Perfect doesn't always mean flawless."

Amy an ordinary almost graduated high school student was the only one to respond to a babysitting job. She desperately needs the money if she plans going to the college of her choice. With her mom always someplace else, mentally, and a runaway brother, she can only count on herself making it happen. But there is a catch. That babysitting job is not what she expected, at all. She has to sit a boy who happens to have her same age..and is a little bit..blind.Tristan lost his sight after a riding accident and is reluctant to adapt and hold on to life the best he can.

Although I have to agree to whoever happens to read this that the odds of somebody falling in love that fast are almost zero, and that the author could've easily make this great story even better, digging a little bit futher into their world, the story isn't disappointing at all.

I liked Amy very much, and couldn't help swooning after Tristan. The only thing that nags me is that Ms.Carter could have dig a bit more, elaborate deeper, with what happened to Charlie, Amy's brother. Her relationship with her parents. Tristan's feelings and emotion are kept practically a mystery, Chris and MArly, Tristan's Dad and Mom and everything.

But hey,if after all the lacks of this story still manages to came up with 4 stars is because the story is beautifully thought through. Believe me. ;)

No title. The book speak by itself.

My Beating Teenage HeartMy Beating Teenage Heart by C.K. Kelly Martin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ever since I heard of this book I wanted to read it. The cover is just perfect, it calls for your attention, it singles itself out among others. Go to whatever bookstore you like and you'll know what I mean. Let me tell you, I have so much to do for college that I didn't knew if I was going to read it this year but the time felt right and I squeezed it between the gazillion thing I had to do and well, worthy it was. Even more than that.

A story tell in two voices that at first is certainly confusing, you just feel like maybe you picked the wrong book or it is a mistake, a cover's mix up or something.NO PEOPLE, the beginning is right. You don't know what are you dealing with at first, a ghost if you believe in that kind of stuff, a spirit or an energy depending on your believes, but it's something that is certainly there, talking to us, explaining whatever she or he is trying to explain, that there are no words for it.

And Breckon, a..uhm..broken guy.See the irony there? No? Well.... The thing with Breckon is that if you are a girl, and I am sure you are, it will fall on your stereotypical high school guy, a good life, good friends, hookups, girlfriends, family. But we meet that Breckon over his memories because now he is, like I said, broken. Tragedy has stricken his life and maybe he is not as strong as he believed he was.

This story is not about Breckon only, dicovering his new self, an after. But is the story of the spirit/energy/ghost that now has a name, Ashlyn. Who is figuring out what's her connection with Breckon, why is she still here, wondering why she can't stop watching/spying Breckon's every move. And rediscovering herself too, but in a before kind of way, she is dead after all.

Everything will be answer, believe me.

The thing I loved the most about it is that had side stories, little ocurrences on both characters lives that can be easily applied to anyone. *Spoilers Alert* Like Breckons bike accident, how he wasn´t aloud to play sports, or the best friend's dilemma, secret hookups, streakings plan, trashing at parties, the sex, and making a pause as I am already on it that well, the sex is very realistic, not meaning that there is a full description, no, but it is certainly true to the reality of most american teenagers. Where I come from is very different. Ok, what else, oh yeah, the high school life for americans. It seems very difficult, very different form my own experiences. There are other situations like Ashlyn's molesting, her relationship with her extended family, even Callum's, Ashlyn's cousin, problems too.How Ashlyn felt about her sister, her surroundings, how she misses everything she took for granted when in the world of the living.

This is a book where you'll find yourself. You'll see that you are NOT the only one going through that, whatever it is. Happy, sad, tragic, depressive, hilarious, horrible, awful, great or plain good. Maybe I'm not the best reviwer, I'm no writer but if you get at least a bit of what I'm trying to communicate to you through this poorly written, what?, essay?...or whatever this is, that makes you want to read it, to pick this book up, and go through it and cry like I did and like you will, I will be glad, even happy that maybe, a tiny bit of that spark was lighten by someone as insignificant and simple as myself. Let me know what you think of it.

Note: I never expected for me to cry at the end, maybe I'm teary this days or something but it was so well written that it was unavoidable. Read it, you'll get what I mean.

Just Smile... =D

WintergirlsWintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It's been a while since I read a book like this. It was sad but at the same time so true. What I mean is, the author really stayed true to the theme se was sharing with us. Esting disorders affect more people every year, younger every day, in constant battle with themselves. I could easily recommend it to someone who is going through something like this, if they are having the problem or a family member or a firend is, either way Wintergirls is a really good way to show those people that ther ARE NOT alone. That is the problem so many times, they feel alone, desperate for attention, or just plain wishing to fit perfectly in a rather NOT perfect world. Eating disorders are such a difficult theme to talk of, but Ms.Anderson did it great. The feelings and situations Lia, the girl in the book, was going through really seemed to be like what a real person would go through. I haven´t met anyone with that kind of disorder, except for a distant aunt ( it´s complicated), but i really felt that if I did knew someone with that kind of problems and I read this book, it would be a good representation of what that person is feeling.
Lia's parents divorced, her dad, David, remarried with Jessica and now she has a new stepsister, Emma, who obviously likes her and Lia does too in return. But her Mom Dr. Marrigan, the cardiologist, is, what would you call, a pain in the you-know-what. So after two times in the prison New Seasons, a center for people like her, who suffers of bad eyes, because obviously they don't see the world as we, the rest and normal people do, she decides to move with her dad and step-family. But her eye problem is not cured, she still checks her calories, still works out in secret and has a secret weight-goal everytime she accomplishes the one before. The thing with Lia is that she is concious of her problem, but she DOES NOT see it as a problem rather than a way to be strong, a way to show the world how tough she is. There are episodes through out the book that you can clearly see it, how she fights her own body, avoiding eating. She chants how good it will taste, how delicous it will be to eat it and enjoy it and that's when she crumples and denies her own bopdy of nourishment. She sees food as a punish, may I say. A way that tell her she is weak, that food is stronger than she is. But food isn't her only problem, now Cassie is dead too. Cassie, her best friend since 3rd grade, died, alone in a motel, and she called Lia the very same night she died. But Lia didn´t picked up. Cassie ended their friendship, why would she? But now, she sees Cassie's ghost, hunting her. Encouraging her to stay strong, meaning not eating, starving.
SHe is afraid and VERY hungry. But she can beat the logic, she does NOT need food. She and Cassie were Wintergirls. Now she is the only one to prove what she is. And there is where you see how much an influence a friend can be. When I finished the book I couldn't decide where Lia's problem began. Was it when Cassie returned form Drama Camp and started vomiting after she ate? Was it when her parents got divorced? When her dad remarried? When her life wasn't having any sense anymore? Who is it to blame? And after very deep thoughts, I got it. The author provides the answer to that hiding question. There is no one to blame. Not even the eating disorder person. They cannot fight it, they didn't wish to be like that. And no one told them to do it either. NO ONE IS TO BLAME. And rather than trying to find the guilty party you must find the person or group of people that will help you. And when you finally get that it feels awesome. there is, also, a secondary character named Elijah, he was the last person to see Cassi alive. And he is not that important to the story becasue it all centers on Lia, but he has the last message Cassie wanted to tell Lia. He is the trigger for Lia's worst breakdown ever and her recovery. I loved that, very much really. You see Elijah as a nobody but in reality he is the cause for the outcome, for Lia's ending of this chapter of her life. Sorry for the spoilers, they wer much needed! =D

RollerCoaster Story =D

Carrier of the Mark Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sooo......wow!
It was a fantastic story, a bit confusing xD..but when you get it you are like...WOW!!! o-O..xD
The one thing that bugged me like crazy was Adam and Megan...LOVELY couple,Adam GORGEOUS! of course..Megan is likeable enough..what? she is with Adam!....BUT!!! The big BUT of The week! The scene where he pours his undying love to Megan it was FLAT!!! SO FLAT! Flatter than a 8 year old chest! It was soooooooooooooooo unbelievable, so out of reality..i just didn´t bought it! The author could´ve work more in it or something. I just didn´t get how it started, how they came to the way the felt for each other, because from that start point It´s amazing! Adam is a fantastic male character, the hero in every way! Rough start, nice trip. I´ll just wait for the end of the road to keep bitching about that.
Other than that, I LOVED the story. The scenery, Ireland is amazing and there aren´t that much books written on that set. And just imagining the accent of the hot guys...it was a really good gift for girls like me. ^^
Although, I can´t wait for the next book I just can´t decide if the ending was the perfect one. If it will get the attention of the readers for them to die for the next one, but it was okay. The chapter before the last one made my heart go nuts! It totally freaked me out, but no worries, everything turns out just fine. An I´m really curious if Aine will get to know her future husband and if she will totally like him and fall for him. And of Course, there is Rian and Fionn's love life. Will Rian meet the girl just right for him, that helps him control all that power? Will Fionn get another chance at love? Maybe or maybe not. But I´m really looking foward to the outcomes!
The book was nothing I expected, it had great action and the problem of both Adam ad Megan being together was nerve wracking. ANd obviously she has to enter more deeply into both The Order and The Knox worlds just for us to understand it and get the story a whole other nudge deeper. It will make it better and it will be the key to success. Either way, I liked this book very much. Can I have the next, please? Like, right now? =)

The Beast found beauty.

Sing Me to SleepSing Me to Sleep by Angela Morrison

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This kind of books always remind me why I love to read and why I spent so much time around them than with people. You are never wrong of what the book is trying to tell you and it always understands you, giving you advice on how to overcome a dark place in your life. Many girls felt like Beth did..like a Beast. Being able to account all their faults as easy as count 1, 2, 3. I'm one of those girls on bad days. But like Beth you could end up with a life changing situation that brings to you an opportunity to change, to transform yourself, for better of course.

In Beth's case was her being chose to be the soprano soloist in her choir because if there is something that Beth excels at is at singing. She has a voice that doesn´t matches her outter appearance. The only person who truly sees Beth as who she is, is her best friend, Scott. Awkward Scott who doesn't call her mean things and support her when she is dealing with bullys at school. Scott who seems to care for her and not only in a friendly kind of way.

And after the transformation of her life ( a total makeover) Beth and her choir are ready to show the entire choir world what are they made of. What Beth doesn't see coming is that her choir's biggest competition is also her most unattainable dream boy. Derek, mysterious Derek, lead singer of the Amabile Boys Choir is dazzling. Gorgeous guy who posses a voice to die for and a secret...one that he doesn't want Beth to know about because it could change everything.

After the uprising romance begun at Switzerland it moved to theri hometows. Beth with the giddyness of first love and both of them trying to make it work, though Derek seems to be falling apart from her, disappearing for days without notice. And that only complicates her now very awkward relationship with Scott who, after she came back, revealed a secret that she didn't saw coming but inside her knew it was there.

After several months, still Derek disappears but now is different. He missed a very important presentation of Beth's choir and she is not going to get the opportunity go. But when she founds Derek and Derek's ultimate secret she can only understand him now more than ever.

*Spoilers*

It really bothered me how jealous Beth was of Derek, her attitude didn't help in me liking her. But you can only understand what she went thorugh. And after finding out Derek is dying, you just can wish for the best, although the ending is no surprise. Derek dies, and that last scene with him makes you cry all over. You feel like losing something very precious. I loved Derek and loved how he encouraged Beth to move on and telling her that maybe Scott isn't a bad choice for her. He always knows he is going to die, what makes his relationship with Beth more painful. Buit knowing Scott will be with her makes him feel relief and hope for the girl he loves. I just love this book, this story, this character. Based on a real life Amabile boy. May he rest in Piece. =) Angela Morrison became one of my favorite authors ever.

Grief.

Fall for AnythingFall for Anything by Courtney Summers

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the saddest book I've ever read..and I know COurtney Summers would be the only one writing like this, with such grief that wraps you..doubts that constantly wakes you from your favourite dream..loneliness when surrounded by the whole world..and this story is just..I've never lost anybody close to me, thanks God, and not under this circumstances either. But it is just perfect for the one's who, in fact, have gone thorugh it.Grief.The real kind.

If you have lost someone and you read this because you believe a work of fiction will bring you answers..don't waste your time. It won't.Simple as that. But read it becasue it allows you to understand and to learn how other people deal with what you are dealing with. And the story has a great message to it...if you seek answers you'll only find more questions. If you try to understand you´ll only doubt. Just try to shape your life to the outcome of something terrible, something that in a way had to happen even though you didn't want to.

Eddie, who is a girl, has lost her father through suicide and now she wants to understand why. He didn't left any answers, he jsut needed to go. Eddie´s mom s wreck, barely coming out of the bed, always wearing her husband's housecoat, losing his scent, any trace of his existence. Eddie doesn´t know why her father did what he did, did he had a motive? Of course, but what was it? But he was a photographer, an artist, and artists have a different point of view of the world..their senses are sharper..would that be? Eddie was no artist so she wouldn't know what her father felt or sense.

Milo, Eddie's best friend, tries to help her..but to Eddie's eyes he doesn't just get it. She is all by herself. Until Culler Evans come into the picture...literally. A student of her father's..goign through the same things as her. Seeking for anwsers..a why. They have a connection and they feel it.

And then these little pieces of Seth Reeves start to appear..and maybe those are the keys to unravel the mistery behind his suicide.

So many things happen, you just feel Eddie's grief through all the pages. Like she is one of your nearest friends and without needing words or sounds you just know what she is going through.

Milo is a constant rock to Eddie but he is also a human being who also suffers her loss..because he has lost something too..the very same night everything happened. And Culler's part to everything is just key for Eddie to find closure. I liked it very much but just a little warning. After you finish it you'll probably end up a little sad yourself. Don't be scare. It'll go away but you will always know now.

Unforgetable.

Do you believe in Time Traveling?

Timeless (Timeless, #1)Timeless by Alexandra Monir

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I'm still in shock for that ending..and here is why.
Michele..with one L please LOL....has to move with her big Money grandparents, whom she have never seen before after her mom died in a car accident. Life changing experience, and she has no idea HOW MUCH life changing will be. The discovery of a key, the only thing her long lost father ever left and wich her mom never spoke of..is one element of a recurrent dream, one Michele had almost her entire life. And now the adventure begins.
The Time Traveling sensation and the feelings of meeting all those family members in their respective time periods bring Michele to get over losing her mom and helps her explain her awkward relationship with her new found grandparents. But nothing would've been more important than meeting the very same guy from those life lasting dreams of hers.
Now she has a name for him, Philip, and their love will surpass everything, even the complicated laws of Time.

OH.MY.GOD. Though the feelings between Philip and Michele were lacking of some credibility, the story was amazing. I didn´t believe much their feelings toward one another, there was something missing but the way the author allows you to know the story's developement as well to Michele that it leaves you with a feeling of assurance that everything will go well at the end. Some facts were obvious a first but there is a moment were everything is kind of confusing and then the story starts to come out at it's fullest. And if you like to experience a bit of every time period Michele visits you will not be disappointed, the description are rather accurate and the music, though you cannot hear it you can feel it. It just awesome that some authors include some playlists to their stories, cause to books/music lovers like myself love to do that, match some songs with their favorite books, they just save us time.
The last pages just brought me to tears..I have promise not to include spoilers and I will stand by it so the only thing that I will say is that...WOW! It couldn't have ended better than that. Obviously there is a sequel because Michele has so much to discover still, there are some lose pieces here and there that I´m sure will come to end on the sequel.
Best Cliff Hanger Ending Nominee....no way to put it better than that..it just was unexpected.Although you kind of see that coming. There is too much to the story to just do one book. But I just couldn't believe my eyes when the words 'To Be Continued' appeared..awesome. I don't know much about Alexandra Monir..but I will defienitely never forget her name. She is a promising soon-to-be-author in my "Best Authors" list =)

Never doubt your Amazon.com...LOL

This author form Georgia came up with this singular and captivating story that I´m sure you will love.

The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1)The Maze Runner by James Dashner

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After months of seeing this book coming up on my Amazon.com researches, you know, to keep up with what is new on the YA literature, one day from out of nowhere a blog of some sort came into my screen showing new deals on movies based on books. And in that list were some of my favorite ones and The MAze Runner was included, so yeah, I'm expectng that movie now, but first...My curiosity on WHAT this book had in order for Hollywood to want it steped up and I decided to read it.

Darkness....where was he? Thomas didn´t know..what are those boys doing in here? What is this all about? And the most important question of all....WHO WAS HE?????
One thing that will definitely appeal to you is the mystery..you never know what is going on, whay things are happening as they are and the writing is just delicious. James Dashner makes you feel IN there with the characters, moving along with the plot.
After getting himself, somehow, into this....how to call it? Questions, questions and more questions and barely a few facts. Once a month a new boy comes with the weekly supplies. The doors close at sunset. And there are the Grievers, ugly creatures that live in the Maze..a maze that surrounds where all those boys are with no way of getting out. All they could do was explore it and try to discover what it is guarding them from..or for. But the very next day Thomas arrived something that in the two years they´ve being living in there has never happen..ever. A girl arrived to their place and she will change everyhing. What is going on? Not even the older ones know..all they could figure out is that their time in the Maze is OVER.
The Maze Runner captvates your adventureside and activates your defenses..you want to help be in there with all of them but at the same time you don't because you are safe at your home. This is a definitely must-have nominee. I loved it. No disappointment whatsoever. I can't believe it took me this long to read it.

A sequel to remember...

Where She Went (If I Stay, #2)Where She Went by Gayle Forman

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I lOVED it!!!!!!! I just found out it was the sequel to If I stay..How bad of a reader am I? The worst it seems..but still I read it and loved it.
After an accident anything goes back to normal and specially not after THE accident. Adam, aaww Adam, you captivated all girls hearts with your dedication at the last book but wow, this twist of you being the rock star you always wanted to be but not having everything you wanted out of life, specially not having Mia. Yeah that's right, no Mia & Adam and that's what this book is about..The explanation on why they didn't stick together? Where did everything went wrong?
From the very beginning you want to know but you MUST go through the whole journey to understand completely.
The narrative is just exquisite..delicious, delightful, marvelous, amazing. All the pieces of this puzzle that you are not able to see until the author allows you to. I just want a third one but know that this is the end for Adam & Mia, their story is complete, there isn't anything else they have to show us, leaving the space free for a new story to come, a story that I will wait with all the patience in the world. Not really but I'll have to.
Im infatuated by both books, they make you think, make you reflect about EVRYTHING..but also it makes you believe in modern life fairytales. They just dont have the same villans and monsters, those became the characters inner fears, flaws, mistakes they make, wrong decisions made, but Godmother never let us down, and that part is the way out every author offers, the solution of all problems and of course Prince Charming, that one is the ending, the feeling that tells you everything will go well from now on, is the goal we all want to achive, we all want Prince Charming. Perfect! Top on my list!

Juliet ImmortalJuliet Immortal by Stacey Jay

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

At first the idea of a re-tell of Romeo&Juliet was appealing to me.I'm not afraid to try new stuff. And this BIG possible mistake..was pulled really well.
I absolutely fell in love with Ben, who's part you´ll discover throughout the story. Of course it had it's confusing parts, meaning you have to spare some time to really really read it. The Mercenary and Ambassador concept was new for me and it gave the author possibilities to where to direct the plot, giving also the chance to the reader to make false assumptions, making the story even better, because you never know where this will turn, or if it will be right or left, up or down or another.
Although the ending was a little flat, it hadn´t that much emotion or maybe my expectations got in the way but it was the perfect ending. A happy-ending not like the one for the originals Romeo and Juliet =)
I really liked it and I wasn't disappointed. I totally recommend it to anyone who is willing to take a new perspective to the never aging tragedy of forbidden love written by the literatur master, Shakespeare.

Beautiful....

I have a confession to make...though I'm 18 years old, back in 2009 with barely 16 years old....when I remember this I feel like such a n00b..but its true.. I didn't knew about the paranormal world. Small country and anyone who likes to read is consider such a weird person and plus the literature available is so no likeable...except for Twilight,of course..are you understanding? I'm doing my best, for real. Well..on vacation time a friend (who likes to read BTW) told me to read an excerpt of a really good book he was waiting for on Amazon.com (and yeah didn't knew about that one either, pity me I haven´t live) so I went and started looking for good books to wait on my own....and the very first one that I saw was this one...BEAUTIFUL CREATURES by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl...I read the description, saw the video trailer and I was DYING for it...totally immerse on my need to read it. And so..in a giving time I found it (amazing really) and started reading it...I LOVED IT!!! (obviously) And couldn´t wait for the sequel...but first, I'll talk about a little about the story. Ethan Wate lives in small town Gaitlin, South Carolina..Has an excentric friend who believes is a rock star, his nana and depression crushed father and has dreams...all sort of them..leaving Gaitlin, living a life different from the one he is bound to live if he stays and about a girl. Who is she? He doesn´t know. He has never see her, doesn´t know if she is real out of his dreams and why is him dreaming about her. When she appears in school one day...she turns his world around. And he can´t imagine in how many ways she will change everything. All he knows is that SHE is the girl from his dreams, literally. And that he likes her, very much. She is misterious, quite and......weird. After some secrets are out and they start to spend more time together, the start to put the pieces together on the WHY was he dreaming about her months before knowing she even existed, why she is so quite and the BIG family secret obout the town outcast. Clues, dreams, songs, and some time traveling takes part of this marvelous and amazing world, a world Ethan believed knew so well.
I didn't want to add spoilers...is not fair, everyone has the right to find out on their own, and I didn't want to take the fun out of it :)
And months later...TA-DA! Beautiful Darkness comes out! And you know.... I didn't wait to read it. I had sooo much H.W. to do and exams were around the corner...but I read it...and I didn´t regret it. Note: If you are in elementary or middle school or school in general don´t try it please! I took the risk and everything came out well. Lucky me. Well I don't have a long story to it soooo....here it is.

Ethan and Lena are going through tough times. They love each other..and well, Ethan learned to live with Lena's and Lena's family's secret. But Lena's birthday came and go...a date when everything changes for every single one of her family...her uncle is dead and the mistery behind what happened in Lena's birthday is still that....a mistery. Ethan is fighting with the need to comfort her and to find out what is going to happen now with Lena, with his best firend Link, his father.....with Gaitlin. Some new characters are out in this sequel..some that have a bigger part than what you will believe at first.  And a character that appears in B.C. that you won´t believe what she has to say..or would you? Now everything is possible. Double face cousins, more secrets reveal, powers to be given, tunnels to run and an uncle brought from the dead. This will keep you on the edge of your chair. Is dark, misterious and amazing. A must-have in all bookshelves!

<----- Comes out on Oct. 18, 2011.....can you wait? =)

And so..the blogging begins!

So...I´ve been thinking about blogging for a while now. Maybe 'cause I'm half asleep I had the courage to start this. My name is Laura Christine..and YEP!..I read lol... The thing is, teachers and friends always tell me that I can write quite well, and I loooove reading..I see other bloggers and think..Could I do something like that? Yes. People will want to read my opinion about a good/bad book that I happened to read? Maybe. This will be only a way for me to express my opinion about what I love the most..BOOKS! Other stuff too like movies, artists (any kind) but most of all Books. Another thing that kept me from doing this was the oh so terrible friend of ours..TIME! I dont have much of it during the week, but I do have spare time some days, so I'll fiil it with this blog. My friends make fun of me because of this obsession of mine but they love hearing of some books that are so good that I can't help talking about them ( or they make me believe that ).. And yes, I have good friends that share this way of life with me (not calling reading a hobby, it's so much more than that)...and well.. Hopefully people will like what I write about, promise I'm not that bad.

P.S. Mistakes are due to the fact that I'm from a spanish speaking country..sorry! And also I speak french. Just a warning. Some weeks I forget nobody in my household understands half what I´m saying. Some of it could get into my blogs..tehee C=
